FSMA is the Belgian Financial Services and Markets Authority that supervises and regulates the financial market of Belgium in collaboration with the National Bank and the 27 EU member states.

Korte Omschrijving

FSMA is looking for a highly qualified Technical Architect. As a Technical Architect you are responsible for leading the technical design and implementation of complex software solutions, in close collaboration with the enterprise Architect. You will also work with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient architecture designs. In addition, you will provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensure compliance with best practices and industry standards, assist with programming, and actively participate in development as necessary.

Technical skills

Demonstrable experience as a Technical Architect or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Angular, Material Design, Node.js, Typescript and related frameworks.
Willingness to resolve DevOps/Support/Maintenance issues
Experience with Agile methodology and Atlassian Stack (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, BitBucket)
Experience with cloud technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS) is a plus.

Soft Skills

Ideally bilingual FR/NL. If not, fluent in French or Dutch with a very good knowledge of the other language (passive knowledge: being able to understand and speak the other language correctly)

Tasks & responsibilities

Lead the design and development of high-performance software solutions using .NET technologies, working closely with the enterprise Architect.
Design scalable and reliable systems that meet performance and security requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve existing systems.
Perform code reviews and ensure coding standards are adhered to.
Encourage continuous improvement initiatives to optimize development processes.
Assist with programming and actively participate in development as necessary, especially during peak activity or for critical functions
Helps the team forward the application to an extranet portal
