Junior Test Specialist – Web Applications (Flemish Government)

Are you a junior test specialist with experience in Azure DevOps Test Plans and SQL? Then help test the web applications for support measures, advice and training, and financial monitoring at a Flemish government agency as part of a major policy programme.

As a junior test specialist, you will strengthen a development team within the IT Development service of the IT department of a Flemish government agency. This team analyses, implements and maintains applications that support the measures and processes of a policy department in a user-friendly way. These include the applications for various support measures, advice and training, and financial monitoring.

Technical skills: you have experience with functional testing of web applications, formal test methods and techniques, Azure DevOps Test Plans (at least 1 year), SQL and Oracle databases (at least 1 year) and test automation; knowledge of test suites or tools and experience supporting business testing and with Scrum are a plus.

You test existing and new (web) applications as part of the implementation of a major policy programme. You work together with analysts and developers and report to the project manager. Your tasks are as follows:

  • You test new and existing functionalities
  • You translate functional specifications into test cases and test scenarios
  • You carry out the tests and report the results
  • You ensure that the tests cover the day-to-day use of the application as fully as possible
  • You work and communicate openly and transparently

You are a junior test specialist who will be deployed specifically to test the IT projects within a major policy programme. In this way, you help ensure that the applications for support measures, advice and training, and financial monitoring work reliably for their users.
