Would you like to help shape the modernisation of the Central Market System, the federal clearinghouse of the Belgian energy market, as a Senior Data & Solution Architect? You will design scalable cloud-native solutions on Azure and help define the roadmap.

As part of the strategic modernisation programme for the Central Market System (CMS), the federal clearinghouse of the Belgian energy market, our client is looking for a Senior Data & Solution Architect.

As a Senior Data & Solution Architect, you will play a crucial role in providing architectural guidance for the modernisation of the CMS platform. In doing so, you will work with existing enterprise and data platform architectures as well as modern cloud-native solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

The assignment includes, among other things:

  • You develop and safeguard the data and solution architecture within the CMS modernisation programme.
  • You analyse the current application and data architecture and define future-oriented architectural objectives.
  • You design scalable, secure and maintainable cloud-native solutions on Azure.
  • You advise development teams and stakeholders on architectural guidelines, best practices and technical choices.
  • You ensure smooth integration between existing systems and new architectural components.
  • You support governance, security and compliance requirements within the architecture domain.
  • You actively contribute to technical decision-making and the definition of the roadmap.

What we are looking for

Specific skills

  • Proven experience as a data architect on multiple projects involving complex data architecture issues 5 yr Senior Must have
  • Proven experience in the Belgian energy sector 3 yr Medior Must have
  • Proven experience in translating conceptual information models into logical data models Must have
  • Proven experience with Azure DevOps administration 5 yr Senior Must have
  • Proven experience with complex enterprise data models Must have
  • Proven experience in writing SQL queries 5 yr Senior Must have
  • Proven experience with microservice architecture Must have
  • Proven experience in developing a test strategy Must have
  • Language requirement: Dutch-speaking or French-speaking at European CEFR level C1 Must have
  • Very good knowledge of English (min. European CEFR level C1) Must have
