Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery Expert

Sibelga aims to fill the role of a business continuity manager, who will provide practical support in the development of business recovery plans and BC-related documents, leveraging existing efforts and best practices.
Job description:

• Work with the OT infrastructure and OT scope to develop, maintain and implement Business Continuity plans and recovery procedures;
• In collaboration with Sibelga’s emergency response team, develop emergency response procedures, disseminate and update emergency procedures to reflect changes in organization and facilities;
• Ensure and manage the effectiveness of recovery procedures and backup capabilities and revise them as necessary;
• Establishing disaster recovery testing methodologies and plans, and coordinating recovery support testing;
• Ensure that recovery procedures are effective for the recovery of key assets and for the resumption of critical business processes;
• Test the plans through tabletop exercises, simulation tests and full-scale interruption tests;
• Provides 7×24 on-call support for any emergency requiring activation of all or part of the Business Recovery or Disaster Recovery plans;
• Support the risk assessment process regarding business continuity and recovery issues and update risk assessments and business impact analyzes accordingly;
• Create and maintain business impact assessment (BIA) and risk analysis services.
• Protects the confidentiality, integrity and availability of business recovery and disaster recovery plans;
• Facilitate business continuity exercises to test the effectiveness of business continuity plans and identify gaps. Test the plans through tabletop exercises, simulation tests and full interrupt tests;
• Develop project plans including requirements, risks, planning and testing.

Qualifications of Business Continuity Manager

• Over 5 years of experience in disaster recovery and business recovery.
• Domain expert in BCP/DR implementation;
• Business Continuity Industry Certification(s) from DRII (CBCP/MBCP), BCM Institute, Business Continuity Institute, ISO22301, BCM Auditor;
• Experience with emergency notification instruments;
• Providing ongoing business continuity and disaster recovery advice to technical teams;
• Technically strong with the ability to quickly understand complex system architecture;
• Strong human relations skills to communicate with management and staff at all levels within the organization.
