Version 1.0, 1 November 2026. These terms apply to the use of consultancy.jobs, a service by Upstream Consulting bv.
The short version: you apply with accurate information, per assignment you give us, with your signature, the exclusive right to propose you for that assignment, an AI analysis is a tool and never a decision, and both you and we can stop at any time.
1. The service
ConsultancyJobs publishes IT consultancy assignments and brings candidates and end clients together. Using the site is free for candidates. We may change the content and workings of the service; significant changes are announced on the site.
2. Your account
You register with a valid e-mail address and keep your password secret. One account per person. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
3. Accurate information
The CVs, certificates and answers to screening questions you provide are truthful and up to date. Inaccurate information can lead to the rejection of an application or the closure of your account.
4. Applying and the right to represent
Per assignment you digitally sign a right to represent: you give us the exclusive right to propose you as a candidate for that specific assignment. That right applies to that assignment only and lapses when the assignment is not awarded. An application gives no guarantee of an assignment, nor of a term within which the end client decides.
5. AI tools and security
Your CV and the fit of your application are analysed by Claude, an AI model by Anthropic. That result is indicative: decisions are made by people. The site's forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. Circumventing these protections, scraping the site or creating fake accounts is prohibited.
6. The agreement for an assignment
An actual assignment is always laid down in a separate agreement, in which the rate, the duration and the modalities are agreed. The site itself creates no employment or contracting relationship between you and us or the end client.
7. Liability
The content of an assignment is based on information from the end client and can change or be withdrawn. We are only liable for demonstrable, direct damage caused by a shortcoming in our service, and never for indirect damage or lost profit. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
8. Ending
You can close your account at any time with a message to ; pending applications are then withdrawn. We may suspend or close an account in case of abuse or a breach of these terms, after a warning where that is reasonable.
9. Data
How we handle your data is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
10. Applicable law
Belgian law. Disputes are brought before the courts of the district where Upstream Consulting bv has its registered office, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection provisions.
