Are you at home in Citrix NetScaler and Windows Server? At a Flemish government institution, you will strengthen the Windows Server Team, resolve second- and third-line incidents and keep the IT infrastructure up and running.

A Flemish government institution is looking for a Citrix NetScaler system administrator for its IT operations service within the IT department.

A non-exhaustive list of tasks:

  • You follow up on and resolve second- and third-line incidents.
  • You carry out small implementation requests related to the services offered.
  • You carry out line-of-business releases on Application Servers.
  • You perform maintenance on the Citrix XenDesktop Servers / Remote Desktop Session Hosts.
  • You are responsible for the general maintenance and monitoring of the Windows Server estate.

You will join the Windows Server Team of the IT operations service, which brings the entire IT infrastructure into production and keeps it running, in terms of both software and hardware. As a Citrix NetScaler system administrator, you will help carry out the tasks the team is responsible for.

What we are looking for

Specific skills

  • Demonstrable experience (2 years) with Citrix Netscaler v12 or higher 2 yr Medior Must have
  • Demonstrable experience (2 years) with Citrix Provisioning Services or Machine Creation Services 2 yr Medior Must have
  • Demonstrable experience (2 years) with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops v2212 or higher 2 yr Medior Must have
  • Demonstrable experience as a System Administrator (setup, management and maintenance of systems) 3 yr Medior Must have
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of the relevant ITIL processes (in particular change management). Should have
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Citrix Workspace Environment Manager Should have
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Citrix XenServer Should have
  • Demonstrable knowledge of FSLogix Apps Should have
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory & Group Policies Should have
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Entra Should have
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Intune Should have
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Network Policy Services Should have
  • Demonstrable knowledge of PowerShell Should have

Technical context

  • Demonstrable system-level knowledge and experience of at least one of the specialist systems: Unix/Linux/Windows - Mainframe - Middleware - security - network and communication - systems, generic or specialist Must have
  • Demonstrable experience with ICT infrastructure solutions Should have

General skills

  • Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR level C2. Must have
