Are you an Oracle Spatial developer with at least 10 years of experience in PL/SQL? Then join the GIS team of the Flemish Agency for Agriculture and Sea Fisheries and help build PL/SQL packages with Oracle Spatial for projects relating to agricultural parcels and nitrogen policy.
As a senior Oracle Spatial developer, you will strengthen the GIS team of the IT Development service within the Digitalisation and Organisation Division of the Flemish Agency for Agriculture and Sea Fisheries. There, you will help build the GBCS and PAS projects.
You will help develop and maintain the internal and external web applications, most of which also include a GIS component. You will report to the project leader. Your responsibilities:
In doing so, you work and communicate in an open and transparent manner.
The GIS team analyses, implements and maintains applications that support the measures and processes of various divisions in a user-friendly way. These are applications for the Income Support Division and the Policy and Coordination Division, including GISMap (graphical base component), ASA (Advisering Stedenbouwkundige Aanvraag – advice on planning permission applications), LIS (Landbouw Impact Studie – agricultural impact study), Bodempaspoort (soil passport) and Kamera (quality control of agricultural parcels).
The GIS applications (GIS = geographic information system) within the Flemish Agency for Agriculture and Sea Fisheries play a crucial role and must also be adapted in the context of PAS (Programmatische Aanpak Stikstof – Programmatic Approach to Nitrogen). The importance of the LPIS (Land Parcel Identification System) within the GBCS (Geïntegreerd Beheers- en Controlesysteem – Integrated Administration and Control System) increases further every year and with every reform of the GLB (Gemeenschappelijk Landbouwbeleid – Common Agricultural Policy).
