You work as a consultant for the Digital Solutions department of the VMM. You will be deployed on projects in the context of the data platform.

The VMM has recently been working hard on setting up a new modern data platform in Azure. This platform forms the heart of new data-driven capabilities and ETL within the organization, and is considered strategically very important.
It is in that context that the VMM is looking for support from experienced professionals who can help with the further expansion and operation.

Korte Omschrijving

When operating the new data platform in Azure, the VMM is looking for an experienced data engineer who can help with its further implementation, drawing up a code of good practice and carrying out new projects in the data platform.

The task package is therefore twofold: As a senior data engineer, on the one hand, you are expected to help with the operation and work on continuous improvement of the platform and, on the other hand, you are also expected to help with concrete projects that are carried out in the platform.

You will be deployed for the following tasks:

Help follow up on the daily runs
Expanding code of good practice
Research into efficiency (and cost-efficiency) of the platform
Make proposals for improvement and a more efficient way of working
Execution of new projects

General:

The performances can be delivered at least one day a week in the premises of VMM in Aalst between 7:30 AM and 7:00 PM.
We work within an Agile environment
The contract amounts to 100 Md
The VMM provides the necessary licenses, software and network access to carry out the assignment. The VMM does not provide an office license. The Office 365 software can be made available by VMM, but without a license. The candidate must use their own business license. Alternatively, LibreOffice can be made available.
