Herent is a municipality in the province of Flemish Brabant. Herent belongs to the judicial district of Leuven. We are looking for a Senior Project Manager for them.
Korte Omschrijving
We are looking for an expert in the field of the environment (spatial planning, living environment, mobility) in the broad sense of the word, who also has sufficient (at least 4 years) managerial experience.
The content of the assignment is twofold: on the one hand, fulfilling the role of sector manager and member of the management team and on the other hand, managing the residential and living environment department.
As sector manager, the contract holder maintains an overview of the sector and monitors cross-departmental projects. You have a leading role in policy preparation for the development of the sector, also in the context of the preparation of the multi-year policy plan
As a sector manager and member of the management team, you have a dynamic and constructive interaction with the general manager. You actively participate in the advisory role of the management team and support the general manager in developing and elaborating a high-quality administration where service to the citizen is central.
As a department head, you are in charge of the residential and living environment department and you are responsible for managing, coordinating and monitoring the activities within the spatial planning and building services, housing, environment and sustainability, mobility, local economy and agriculture.
You formulate advice and develop initiatives and thus make a positive contribution to the preparation and adjustment, implementation and evaluation of policy. Policy advice to political and official leadership involves an active contribution to policy support. The files that are submitted to the mayor and aldermen will be endorsed by you.
